So yesterday, my boyfriend took me to see City and Colour for the second time. I love seeing this band, as the crowd are pretty pleasant (e.g. recently showered and keep their distance), they make great music, and Dallas plays one hell of a show. The second time around, I found that he didn't engage so much with the crowd, but you can't complain at two hours of solid music, when it sounds so good. His vocals don't sound much different from studio recordings, and he doesn't keep the crowd waiting around like some in the business do. He played all the songs we hoped he would, Boyfriend won the "which song will he open with?" game, and I almost bankrupted myself buying a Jack and coke in a glass no larger than an espresso cup.
The setlist for last night's show was as follows:
1. The Hurry And The Harm
2. The Lonely Life
3. The Grand Optimist
4. As Much As I Ever Could (Bring Me Your Love)
5. Silver And Gold
6. Ladies And Gentlemen
7. Like Knives
8. Body In A Box
7. Like Knives
8. Body In A Box
9. Comin' Home
10. Little Hell
11. Sleeping Sickness
12. Harder Than Stone
13. Waiting...
14. Thirst
15. Fragile Bird
16. Sorrowing Man
Encore:
17. The Girl
18. Two Coins
I didn't get many photos from last night, due to a combination of no space on my phone, and a nice short crowd- being just over 5' tall, I normally video songs I love on my phone, higher than I can see, go home, and re-watch the gig. It was nice not to be stood with my arm in the air though, and overall it was a fab night out.

Support act provided by Hannah Georgas.
PS. As I publish this, I realise that it is, in fact, the early hours of 30th of Jan, making this show an event which happened two days ago. Technically still last night.
